Kula, located on the slopes of Haleakala, is also known as the "Upcountry" region of Maui. This area of the island is unique as it provides a very rustic feel. Part of this has to do with being situated at a higher elevation. There are many great hikes, gardens, farmers markets and sunsets to experience in the upcountry.
