Overview

The St. Clair County Community College's Challenger Learning Center, is a fully immersive, space-themed STEM experience in SC4’s Experience Center building. The exhibit is an interactive exhibit for guests of all ages. To help draw interest to the exhibit, the college wanted an exterior banner to pair with the interior experience. Through Ideation Orange, I was assigned the task to design the banner. This was a unique project for me due to its scale and installation system approach. The banner is roughly thirty feet high, mounted onto brick, utilizing Sign Springs banner system, similar to the mechanics of a trampoline. Due to the scale, special attention was given to type, imagery and color choices to ensure the most legible and captivating solution.
